Kit details
The Tick-Borne Bacteria Flow Chip is an advanced in vitro diagnostic kit designed to accurately identify arthropod-borne bacterial pathogens. This revolutionary system enables the simultaneous qualitative detection of the most common bacterial species from the Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, Borrelia, Bartonella, Coxiella, Rickettsia and Francisella genera. This method is based on the simultaneous amplification of specific fragments of each genus using multiplex PCR, followed by membrane hybridisation with specific DNA probes using DNA Flow technology, either automatically or manually, thus providing a versatile and effective tool for the accurate diagnosis of these infections. We have managed to increase the sensitivity of this technique and significantly reduce diagnosis times. This approach is crucial in view of the current challenges posed by the differential diagnosis of arthropod-borne pathogens, given the non-specific nature of the clinical manifestations.
